Bruce Wermuth holds a Master Of Music degree in Jazz Studies from the Eastman School of Music, culminating his years there with a performance (recorded and released by Mark Records) at the 1982 Montreux International Jazz Festival in Montreaux, Switzerland. There he showcased his talent as a music writer, jazz trumpet soloist and vocal soloist with the Eastman Jazz Ensemble.
Bruce has been a top call vocalist for over fifteen years and has sung on thousands of commercial, industrial, and record productions. His career has included studio and live performances as a lead and jazz trumpet player for jazz bands, Broadway shows and notable entertainers such as Tony Bennett, Lena Horne, Bob Hope, Henry Mancini, and the list goes on. He has also been a featured jazz soloist with the Memphis Symphony and Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestras.
Bruce has served as Assistant Professor Of Jazz Studies at the University Of Memphis, Director of the University Of Memphis Jazz Vocal Ensemble, and as a private instructor for Applied Jazz Voice students. He has been a clinician for the University Of North Texas summer sessions.
Bruce is now an independent music producer residing in Grapevine, Texas, serving the music industry internationally in a variety of capacities including composer, arranger, songwriter, studio vocalist, conductor, and trumpet player.
